Platform, Issue 1

During 2023, I had the joy of joining other early career creatives at Story Factory’s workshops called Creative Circle. Together, we  created the first issue of “Platform”. I had the privilege of publishing 4 poems in this collection of poetry and other prose. The poems are:

Excerpts

Body of Water touch on themes of sense of self, overthinking the negatives of ones self without the appreciation of belonging to intricacy of something larger and more intimate.
Written in response to hustle and grind culture, I plead that the reader slow down, take a breath and appreciate all that they are in the poem, My Dear.
Tower likens a prison system Panopticon tower to that of blades of grass, investigating and critiquing something else entirely.
A response to living with tinnitus, Kookaburras and That explores some of the reality of living with the condition.
